New Head for the Melbourne School of Health Sciences

Just before Easter Professor James A. Angus, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences announced that Professor Elizabeth Patterson, PhD, RN, Grad Dip Nurs Stud, MHSc, had been appointed as the Head of the Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS).

Professor Patterson is held in high esteem both nationally and internationally in the field of general practice nursing especially as it pertains to interdisciplinary research in chronic disease management. Prior to joining the Faculty to take up the role as Chair and Head of Nursing in the Melbourne School of Health Sciences, Professor Patterson was the Head of Nursing and Midwifery at RMIT University and before re-locating to Victoria, spent 20 years at Griffith University, Queensland.

Professor Angus was delighted to welcome Professor Patterson to her new role as Head of the Melbourne School of Health Sciences and looked forward to working with her over the coming years.
